My first plant
salvia divinorum blosser strain plant
Recieved 4-14-2011
She was in great shape and cold when I got her.
I didnt get the heat pack. I warmed her up a little and put her in a big pot.
Used Miracle Gro and Perlite along with creek gravel in the bottom of the pot.
Day one I tented her and kept her on the heater. I have the old water type heating system and they are great.
Perfect heat for plants. I also used a blow dryer around the pot to warm in up. 4 or 5 times I heat the pot a little.
Im giving her water from a spray bottle 5 times a day. I havent drenched the soil. most of it has no root content so it doesnt make sense to me.
Picture of her taken 4-16-2011 As you can see she's happy and reaching for the stars Tongue not bad for 3 days Smiley

Ya im really pleased with her.
Im pretty much a common sense grower. Ive laways had a green thumb.
Ill keep yas all updated on her. I plan to make her more like a hedge as she grows topping her for
cuttings and letting her become more of a bush.

and TY btw Smiley

Yes I kinda cut it down so my clear plastic bag could fit over it. also I have a light that sits on it just right.
Tomorrow I will have her 4 days. At night I always tent her.

Thanks for your input Smiley

Thx hun

LOL I got her at LiveSalviaPlants.com Ive never grown Salvia.
I didnt even know about it until a few weeks ago when NY was talking about Passing bills on it.
I guess Kids were buying it from shops.
Ive alwaqys been good with plants. So far she hasnt been a problem. And I havent had her exposed to outdoor lighting LOL Its been cloudy and raining here in Upstate. I think its for the best though she needed to recuperate from her trip and being repotted Tongue

Thx for the help

Okay Ive had my little girl for 2 weeks now.
She was received on 4-14-2011 same day potted to large pot with perlite and Miracle grow potting soil.
Shes been under a 5000 lumens CFL. Ive given her no type of fertilizer. Only water. In one week I plan to start moving her into shaded natural light.
I think I could do better with her but IM being gentle with her. Shes an only child. Tongue

I am not sure if they took a cutting from her top or pinched her, I like it. I do want her to be a bush anyways.
I think in 5 or 6 more inchs of growth she will be ready to have some babies.

Please give me some input

Insane growth for 12 days.  The number of leaves seems to have doubled.  I don't know how you could improve things, but yeah, wait for another node or two before you take a cutting.

Sally loves her some CFL's  Smiley There's no such thing as too many.
I wouldn't mess with the UFO or HPS stuff unless you have a lot of extra cash you don't need.

CFL and traditional fluorescent lights are cheap, effective, and efficient  Wink

You've got a very happy Salvia plant there! Just keep doing what you're doing.

I like the dog head in the one dated 4-27-11. It makes the plant look really big!
